Problems with a Bridleway? |
Have you come across a Bridleway that is blocked in some way? Is it overgrown, or a tree has fallen? Has someone illegally locked a gate, or replaced a gate with a stile? Has a bridge become unsafe? Has someone dumped earth or building rubble to make the right of way impassable?
Your first port of call is to report this to Shropshire Council. You can do this online on the Council's website by clicking here.
Or call the Shropshire Council Countryside Access Team via Customer Contact Centre 0345 678 9000
You might also like to let your Bridleways Association local co-ordinator know as well. Click here for phone numbers.
Don't forget that the Bridleways Association tries to do its bit in keeping routes clear to ride with our Clearance Parties advertised in The Portway.
You can read more about the various Rights and Responsibilities of the Council, landholders and users of bridleways on the Shropshire Council website.
